I am interested in buying from black-owned beauty supply store. I expected to find more hair products like wigs and hair pieces in the BOBSA store online. To be truely competitive you have to provide what people are seeking and our folks want hair not just hair styling products. Provide and market that with a wide assortment of styles and at competitive prices and we wouldn't need or want to go to Korean stores. This is a capitalist society and we need to look at competition, not from a racial, but from an economic, business standpoint.

Having worked in and on the periphery of the Black Hair & Beauty industry over the past 25 years, I have seen a significant shift in the way what was once 'ours', has become something we now have to pay others to gain access to. This is a sad indictment on us as a people because we have allowed this to happen. Remaining optimistic and being a positive advocator of change, I fully support the efforts of BOBSA and encourage you to spread awareness on a global level and not just within the US. It is a well known fact that what happens over there (in America) eventually happens over here (in the UK & Europe). History bears this out. We are fortunate to have many Black Business Owners here in the UK that will support an initiative such as BOBSA. Please let me have further information on your organisation and I will happily disseminate amongst networks & on-line groups here in the UK. In closing, I and my associates ask that you keep up the good work ... because it's very much appreciated. God bless LG @ FTR

Black owned BS are hard to find. Mr. Combs owned a store in Philly. I only went somewhere else when he didnot have it. I no longer do hair. I now sell Heavenly Scented Rocks. Check us out on the web: www.hsr.4pha.com Elton John has his name on these ROCKS in B.B.W. I am trying to grow our business! Thank You, Viola and Frank Gray
